Alabama and Tennessee Valley Regions Hosting SCCA Races

This weekend marks the second of two SCCA sanctioned races at Barber Motorsports Park for the month of August. The Alabama Region and Tennessee Valley Region SCCA Chapters will be hosting a Southeast Region points race as the 2014 season comes to an end.

On-track action will feature some of the top racing talents including Birmingham native Andrew Rains and the Rains Racing organization, one of the only recognized sportscar racing organizations based in downtown Birmingham. Andrew is a senior at Auburn University and will be racing his 500 horsepower road racing stock car this weekend. In addition to the on-track action, Barber will play host to the Birmingham Cars and Coffee cruise-in on Saturday and the Southeast Honda S2000 meet on Sunday.

 The dates of the event will be Saturday, August 30th through Sunday, August 31^st. The venue is Barber Motorsports Park Paddock, 6040 Barber Motorsports Parkway, Birmingham, AL.
