In 2006, the Association of Collegiate Anglers contested its first-ever Collegiate Bass Fishing Championship presented by Bass Pro Shops. Fast forward to now, and the ACA is preparing to host its 19th edition of college fishing’s longest-running National Championship event at the conclusion of this upcoming season. The 2024 Collegiate Bass Fishing Championship presented by Bass Pro Shops will be contested at Pickwick Lake in Florence, AL on May 23-24, 2024.

The prestigious field will be capped at 200 elite teams that earned a spot in the event through a set qualification criteria. The ACA recently published updated qualification criteria for the nationally televised 2024 Collegiate Bass Fishing Championship presented by Bass Pro Shops. View the latest qualification criteria here.

Pickwick Lake in Florence, AL will be the site for the 19th edition of the Collegiate Bass Fishing Championship presented by Bass Pro Shops. The city of Florence, and Wilson & Pickwick Lakes, have played host to ACA Major and Championship events for over 12 years. These two Tennessee River fisheries shine during the early summer months, and McFarland Park & Florence, AL are a great host for the 400 college anglers to visit and compete.

College fishing’s longest-running National Championship event will again boast no-entry-fee and a total payout of over $30,000 in prizes and contingencies. The Top 40 teams will receive a combination of cash and gift cards, various other exact places will be paid out, as well as a Power-Pole gift certificate awarded to the overall Big Bass of the event.

The 2024 Collegiate Bass Fishing Championship presented by Bass Pro Shops will also be the final event of the 2023-24 race for Bass Pro Shops School of the Year presented by Abu Garcia. Teams will again have the opportunity to earn triple points, being rewarded for their three highest-finishing teams in the event. Following the conclusion of Day 2 weigh-in, a winner will be crowned, the Top 3 teams recognized, and the Top 25 finalized in the race for Bass Pro Shops School of the Year presented by Abu Garcia.
