Football for Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) is heading to the city of Mobile this fall! The 6th Annual Gulf Coast Challenge Powered by the Mobile Sports Authority will be held on Saturday, October 7, 2023, at 3:00 p.m. at Ladd-Peebles Stadium. The Bulldogs of Alabama A&M University will host the Tigers of Jackson State University in this much-anticipated HBCU matchup.
Tailgating, food, football, and fun will be the highlight of the day on October 7, but let's not forget the much-anticipated halftime show. The AAMU Marching Maroon & White Band and the JSU Sonic Boom of the South will show out in one Ultimate HBCU Experience.
Festivities begin Wednesday, October 4, and continue until game day. Events include three free concerts, a College and Career Fair for high school seniors, a Pep Rally, and the GCC Parade.
