Lagoon Park Golf Course hosts the Capital City Golf Classic, formerly known as the Montgomery City Championship, a competitive three-day golf tournament that begins today, Friday, July 17 and concludes on Sunday, July 19, 2020.
“This year, we really wanted to expand the event and take it to the next level. We added multiple divisions, opened the playing field to include professionals, raised the purse, and added a title sponsor in Reinhardt Lexus,” said Mike Shirley, Lagoon Park’s Director of Golf. “Most importantly, we wanted to give back to the community. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to The Boys and Girls Club of the River Region.”
The Capital City Golf Classic is open to all golf professionals and amateurs in the state of Alabama as well as PGA Golf Professionals in Alabama and Northwest Florida.
