USA Volleyball Gulf Coast Region Friendship Tournament

This two-day early-season club tournament will draw teams from throughout the southeast to compete in this invitational holiday event. The age groups range from 12-18 years of age. This event has traditionally been held in Foley but will be held in Mobile for the first time in 2023. Admission for spectators is $10 per day for ages 12 and above. For children 11 and under, admission is free.
Port City Volley Jolley Invitational Christmas Tournament

December 8 - 10, 2023
The Halls will be Decked at the Mobile Convention Center and the Mobile Civic Center for the Annual Port City Volley Jolley Invitational Christmas Tournament. Over 100 teams will compete in this three-day early-season invitational holiday tournament for the Gulf Coast Region of USA Volleyball. Teams (aged 5 -18) will travel from all over the Southeast U.S. to compete. Grassroots play is Friday night with tournament play Saturday and Sunday. There will be pictures with Santa on Friday night and Saturday afternoon. There will also be Christmas costume contests for teams and coaches. Admission for spectators is $10 per day for ages 12 and above. For children 11 and under, admission is free.
This tournament will certainly get everyone in the Spirit of Christmas!
AHSAA North-South All-Star Football Game
Hancock Whitney Stadium

This Alabama High School Athletic Association annual football game features the top 74 senior players in the state of Alabama competing in a North vs. South Alabama format. This is the 4th time the game will be played in Mobile. It will take place at Hancock Whitney Stadium on the University of South Alabama campus with a 2 p.m. kickoff. Tickets are $10 for general admission (children 5 and under are free). Tickets are available through GoFan.co.
This highly anticipated game has a long-standing history in Alabama. It was first played in 1948 as part of the popular coaches' convention held at the University of Alabama each year. The game was disbanded after the 1984 season but originally brought back in 1997 as part of the newly-created Alabama All-Star Sports Week. Gulf Coast Holiday High School Basketball Classic

Wrap up the holidays with the Gulf Coast Holiday High School Basketball Classic. Sixteen teams from Alabama, Florida, Georgia, and Tennessee will compete in this 3-day holiday classic at the Arthur R. Outlaw Student Center on the campus of Spring Hill College. This tournament has become one of the most anticipated of the season with many teams featuring Division 1 prospects. College coaches and recruiters will be on the sidelines to help these student-athletes get to the next level. Don't miss this Holiday Classic!
HBCU Pigskin Showdown

The HBCU Pigskin Showdown is an All-Star football game created to give draft-eligible football players from Historically Black Colleges & Universities (HBCUs) an opportunity to showcase their talents in front of decision-makers from professional football teams. The HBCU Pigskin Showdown will be a week of showcasing talent for National Football League (NFL) scouts and coaches from all professional leagues while celebrating African-American heritage by way of historic sites within the Mobile, AL area. Kickoff is at 2:30 p.m. on December 30.
