We are excited to bring back this Alabama High School Athletic Association regional cheer competition for the second year. Over 75 cheer squads, from middle school to varsity, will compete for a spot to attend the State Cheer Finals to be held on Saturday, December 14, 2019, at Wallace State Community College in Hanceville, AL. The Battleship Invitational Rugby Tournament

For 41 years, this annual event has been entertaining fans and spectators with action-packed, hard-hitting play. Teams from across the country will make their way to Mobile for this two day event, which has become one of the south’s premier rugby tournaments and making Battleship Park a major icon for rugby in the south. Gears & Beers 5th Annual

The Gears & Beers race is a collection of four bicycle rides and a street party that raises money to support the various community-based programs of the Delta Bike Project. Riders can choose from four distances – the 8.1 mile Beignet Buster; the 30-mile Swamp Romp; the 63-mile Mystic Metric; and the 100-mile killer, aka The Bayou 100, which is part of the Alabama Backroads Century Series. This 6th Annual meet serves as the Alabama High School Athletic Association's South Sectional Championship. High school student-athletes will be competing for a qualifying spot to advance to the Alabama State Championships to be held December 6-7, 2019 in Auburn. Information is available here.

With six defending state championship teams, 19 individual state champions, and numerous place finishers and state qualifiers, this will be the one of the strongest regular-season tournaments in the Southeast. Thirty-three teams from Alabama, Georgia, Mississippi, and Louisiana will compete in this unique format in the arena round. Information is available here.
Alabama Division 1 Youth Football Championship

November 22 - 24, 2019
Thirty nationally ranked football teams from across the state bring it to the field for this post-season playoff tournament. Players aged 5 - 14 will compete in their respective categories in an effort to be crowned State Champions. Information is available here.
