New Activities Scheduled Around State Farm Magic City Classic

The 72nd annual State Farm Magic City Classic presented by Coca-Cola kicks-off this Saturday, October 26th at 2:30pm CT at Legion Field.  The weekend is full of opportunities for family, friends and fans. A new schedule listing these events, which happen throughout the city, has been released.

Thursday, October 24
7:30 pm – State Farm Magic City Classic Alumni Pep Rally
Location: Regions Field
Note: Tickets can be purchased for $10 at the door.  Alumni pep rally will include a performance by “Just a Few Cats” and “DJ B Brian.”

Friday, October 25
2:30 – 3:30 pm –Alabama State University practice
Location: Inside Legion Field
NOTE: This is closed to the public.

4:00 – 5:00 pm –Alabama A&M University practice
Location: Inside Legion Field
NOTE: This is closed to the public.

Saturday, October 26
8:00 am – McDonald’s Magic City Classic Parade
Location: Downtown Birmingham

11:00 am – Coors Light Pre-Game Tailgate Party
Location: Legion Field
2:00 pm – “The Wobble” - Artist V.I.C. will sing on the field his famed song “Wobble,” as fans inside the stadium attempt to set a world record for the World’s Largest Wobble.

2:30 pm – State Farm Magic City Classic kick-off
Location: Inside Legion Field
Half- Time  - Celebrity Ambassador Ice Cube will be introduced, along with the much-anticipated half-time shows by the Marching Hornets and the Marching Maroon and White

Post-Game – Concert by Morris Day and the Time

Reserved tickets for the State Farm Magic City Classic are only $25, while full-priced general admission tickets are $20.  Both are still available for purchase through TicketMaster at 800-745-3000 or online at www.themagiccityclassic.com. Tickets can also be purchased at Legion Field or AAMU and ASU ticket offices.  As the official discount ticket outlet, fans will only be able to purchase the $15 general admission discounted ticket from select Regions Bank locations.

The State Farm Magic City Classic free shuttle continues to be the best way to travel to and from Legion Field.  Fans can pick up the shuttle from one of three convenient locations:

• Birmingham Crossplex

• Sheraton Hotel – BJCC Complex

• 7th Ave N & 23rd St N - Downtown
