The main event, the Honda Indy Grand Prix of Alabama, will begin at 2 p.m. CT on Sunday, April 26. Drake White, a rising star in country music, will open the festivities by singing the National Anthem.
A native of Hokes Bluff, Ala., White recently released his new single “It Feels Good”. He and his band “The Big Fire” have opened shows headlined by such national acts as Eric Church, Luke Bryan, Kid Rock, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Tyler Bryant and Channing Wilson. White’s sound is both familiar and modern, building on the successful band model laid down by Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers, The Allman Brothers Band and modern Country trailblazers.
Drake was named one of Billboard’s “10 Hot Country Artists to Watch in 2015” and made Rolling Stone’s list of the “37 Best Things we Saw at the CMA Fest in 2014.”
