Upgraded Ticket Security Planned for State Farm Magic City Classic

The State Farm Magic City Classic presented by Coca- Cola announced today that a new security process has been implemented for ticketing at the October 25th game at Legion Field.  Security at the gate will be increased and counterfeit tickets will not be tolerated. 

Upon entry into Legion Field, game tickets will be scanned for authenticity.  Each ticket will have a unique barcode, and once that barcode has been scanned for entry, a duplicate ticket will scan as invalid and entry will not be allowed.  Most tickets will also be printed on security paper or ticket stock that cannot be copied or duplicated.

Fans are reminded to only purchase State Farm Magic City Classic game tickets from authorized sources.  Tickets can be purchased at www.themagiccityclassic.com, Legion Field, Alabama A&M University and Alabama State University box offices, along with three Regions Bank locations.  Spectators are warned about purchasing tickets from scalpers.  These tickets are often fraudulent and will not be allowed access into the stadium.

Legion Field has increased the police and security presence at all entry gates including band, team, and operations entrances.  Also upon entry, all bags will be subject to search.  Prohibited items for the State Farm Magic City Classic presented by Coca-Cola include:  video cameras, coolers, back packs, food, beverage, large radios, umbrellas and weapons.

This year’s State Farm Magic City Classic will kick-off at 2:30pm and the much-anticipated halftime show between the Marching Maroon and White and the Mighty Marching Hornets will take place at halftime.  As an added bonus, fans who have purchased tickets to the game will also enjoy a complimentary post-game concert by celebrity ambassadors Bell Biv Devoe.
