The World Baseball Softball Confederation (WBSC) has unveiled a new events bidding calendar, outlining the top WBSC tournaments which are available for hosting, providing opportunities for cities and organizers around the world to welcome the best of international Baseball, Softball or Baseball5.
Immediate tournaments available for hosting include the XXXII U-18 Baseball World Cup and the II Youth Baseball5 World Cup in 2025. The WBSC confirmed that Saturday, June 1 is the deadline to submit expressions of interest to host either of the two tournaments.
The bidding process has also opened for four events scheduled for 2026, two events that will open in 2026 and play the final stage in 2027, and five events scheduled for 2027.
Candidates can submit an expression of interest to host the VII U-15 Baseball World Cup, the VI U-23 Baseball World Cup, the III Baseball5 World Cup, and the II U-23 Men's Softball World Cup by deadline February 1, 2025.
The XVIII Women's Softball World Cup and the X Women's Baseball World Cup are two-stage events, with the group stage contested in 2026 and the final stage played in 2027. The Women's Softball World Cup's first stage will consist of three groups, while the Women's Baseball World Cup will have two groups. Candidates can submit their expression of interest by deadline February 1, 2025.
The 2027 season will include the IV Premier12 along with the XXXIII U-18 Baseball World Cup, the III Youth Baseball5 World Cup, the II U-15 Women's Softball World Cup, and the XV U-18 Men's Softball World Cup. Candidates are able to submit their expression of interest by September 1, 2025 and officially bid by October 1, 2025.
