Fresno, California: In the Middle of Everything

You can be right in the middle of everything while you’re on your way to the top! The Fresno/Clovis Convention and Visitors Bureau is an expert host for athletes with the highest of aspirational goals.

Situated right in the heart of California’s Central Valley, Fresno and Clovis are the home to a variety of sporting events, from California Interscholastic Foundation state championships for track and field, swim and dive and cross country to wrestling and taekwondo events that serve as platforms for future Olympians.

California USA Wrestling hosts events for over 1,000 athletes from across the state of California. With over 19,000 members, 400 clubs, 200 state and local competitors, CalUSA Wrestling utilizes the Fresno/Clovis CVB to help put on its annual events. California United Taekwondo Association provides state championships to qualify athletes for taekwondo’s Nationals competitions. CUTA’s membership, comprised of athletes of all ages and skill levels, sponsors state team to compete in national and international competitions. These events return every year in part because of the unique offerings found in Fresno and Clovis.

Athletes competing on an elite level require fuel and that fuel is grown right in Fresno County. As the number-one agricultural-producing county in the country, every type of food needed to reach peak-performance can be found at a local restaurant: farm-to-fork originated here! With a little extra planning, athletes, coaches and their families can take in some world-class sights while here.
