Bike The Coast, a coastal cycling event in Southern California, has announced that Frontwave Credit Union has again signed on as the ride’s title sponsor for 2023 and 2024.
The longstanding partnership is seen to signal Frontwave’s continued dedication to the local community and events that bring visibility to San Diego County’s coastal cities. Bike The Coast will take place on November 4, 2023.
“Events like Bike The Coast thrive when we have authentic and steadfast partners like Frontwave Credit Union, and that allows the communities we ride through to thrive as well,” said Mike Bone, President and CEO of Spectrum Sports Management, which produces Bike The Coast.
“Even amid the pandemic, Frontwave stepped up to ensure the longevity of our ride. A thoughtful collaboration like this one showcases how local businesses can make the most of working with fitness and endurance events all across Southern California.”
Frontwave’s connection to the event is evident in the team of between 20 and 30 riders that the organisation recruits to take part annually. The Oceanside-based not-for-profit credit union supports a variety of events based in the communities its serves, with locations throughout San Diego, Riverside and San Bernadino County.
“We’re all about community at Frontwave, and we ensure that we reflect and connect with our members in all that we do,” said Todd Kern, Chief Experience Officer (CXO) at Frontwave Credit Union.
“Our members work hard and play hard, just like the cyclists who participate in Bike The Coast. That’s what makes this partnership such a great fit for us.”
Bike The Coast offers 100, 50 and 25-mile routes along Highway 101, as well as 15 and seven-mile routes on the San Luis River Trail. Riders travel from Oceanside, through Carlsbad, Encinitas, Solana Beach, and Del Mar. They return to Oceanside to cross the finish line and celebrate with a post-race party at the Oceanside Pier with food, craft beer, live music, and vendors.
