The McCourt Foundation announces Sunday, November 7, as the new date of the 2021 Los Angeles Marathon presented by ASICS.
With on-going support from the City of Los Angeles, Century City, City of West Hollywood, and City of Beverly Hills the new date provides runners and walkers the opportunity to complete the 26.2-mile Stadium to the Stars course, which will start at Dodger Stadium and travel past major LA landmarks including Disney Concert Hall, TLC Chinese Theater, the West Hollywood Rainbow Crosswalk, and Rodeo Drive, before finishing on the Avenue of the Stars.
The LA Big 5k, the official kick-off event of Marathon weekend, is now set for Saturday, November 6, and will continue to share the marathon’s iconic Dodger Stadium start line. The 2-day Health & Fitness Expo, scheduled for November 5-6, will also move to the open-air stadium venue to better accommodate runners and spectators safely.
Health and safety planning continues to be the priority, and with the help of the organization’s Medical Advisory Board, formed in October 2020, race organizers continue to develop race week safety protocols that will meet the needs of participants and the community at large. Safety protocols will be released later in the year to best address conditions and official guidelines at that time.
Registration and additional event information for the 2021 Los Angeles Marathon presented by ASICS and LA Big 5K is available at www.lamarathon.com.
