Tournament officials have announced the singles and doubles draws for the 50, 60, 70 and 80 and over ages divisions of the United States Tennis Association National Women’s Senior Hard Court Championships scheduled for Monday, May 13 through Sunday, May 19, 2024 at the La Jolla Beach & Tennis Club, 2000 Spindrift Drive, La Jolla, CA, 92037.
Top seed and defending 50 and over singles champion Amanda Parson Siegel of Santa Ana, Calif., received a first-round bye and will play her second-round match on Tuesday at 10 a.m., against the winner of Monday’s first-round match between Catherine Morgan of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., and Michele Saunders of Solvang, Calif.
Vicki Buholz of Dallas, the No. 1 seed and defending 60 and over singles champion, will take on Fabiana Ibanez-Dieguez of Vista, Calif., in her first-round match on Monday at 9 a.m.
Two-time 70 and over singles champion and top-seed Tina Karwasky of Glendale, Calif., received a first-round bye and will play her second-round match on Tuesday at 9 a.m., against the winner of Monday’s first-round match between Barbara Pinkerton of Mount Pleasant, S.C., and San Diego’s Susan Davis.
Carolynn Castell of Kirkland, Wash., the top seed in the 80 and over singles division, also received a first-round bye. She will meet the winner of Tuesday’s first-round match between Teri Eggers of Orange, Calif., and Dineka Vandeburgt of Kelowna, Canada, in a second-round match on Wednesday at 10 a.m.

The starting times for each day of the tournament will be as follows: Monday, May 13 – 9 a.m.; Tuesday, May 14 through Thursday, May 16– 8 a.m.; Friday, May 17 through Sunday, May 19 – 9 a.m. (all times are PDT).
Scheduled start of play for each of the women's events will be as follows: Monday, May 13 – 50 Singles, 50 Doubles, 60 Singles, 60 Doubles and 70 Singles, 70 Doubles. Tuesday, May 14 – 80 Singles. 80 Doubles.
The USTA National Women’s Senior Hard Court Championships features top players from across the country in the 50, 60, 70, and 80 and over age divisions. Events include singles and doubles. USTA gold, silver or bronze balls will be awarded to the first, second and third place finishers in all women's events.
The tournament is part of the International Tennis Federation World Tennis Masters Tour which provides a range of team and individual singles, doubles and mixed doubles events for each five-year age increment from 30+ to 90+.
The La Jolla Beach & Tennis Club welcomes tennis enthusiasts to view the tournament and will offer free admission to spectators for the entire tournament. Tournament attendees and spectators may dine on-site at the Club's Snack Bar and Club Dining restaurant during the tournament. On-site parking is available for a nominal fee.

The La Jolla Beach & Tennis Club’s 50th Annual Men's Senior Championships will also take place the same week in conjunction with the women’s events, and will include both singles and doubles for 60, 65, 70, 75, 80, and 85 and over age groups. Although the men’s events are not national championships, they will feature many senior players who regularly compete in national tournaments.
Scheduled start of play for each of the men's events will be as follows: Monday, May 13 – 60 Doubles, 70 Singles, 75 Singles. Tuesday, May 14 – 60 Singles, 65 Doubles. Thursday, May 16 – 65 Singles,70 Doubles, 75 Doubles, 80 Singles, 85 Singles. Friday, May 17 – 80 Doubles. Saturday, May 18 – 85 Doubles.
The La Jolla Beach & Tennis Club started each of these events and has hosted them since inception.
