On Feb. 22 and 23 the Northern California Volleyball Association (NCVA) has the honor of hosting the very first sporting event in the new Placer Valley Event Center located @the Grounds in Roseville. Placer Valley Tourism (PVT) is thrilled to be partnering with NCVA to bring this and several other top-notch volleyball tournaments to the event center throughout the year.
"We have nearly 100 teams competing each day of the tournament, so the 24 volleyball courts in the massive 160,000 square foot facility will be put to good use," commented Evan Orlando, NCVA Director of Business Development. "We are so excited to be the first organization utilizing this brand-new facility and look forward to all our future events here!"
Orlando also explained that this tournament showcases teams from NCVA's Girls Power League and that on Saturday players 13-14 years-old will be competing and on Sunday the 15-17 years-old players hit the courts.
Players will arrive by 7 a.m. for warm-ups with first serves scheduled to start at 8 a.m. both days. Games will go throughout the day until approximately 6 p.m. Admission is $5 per person and parking is $10 per vehicle @the Grounds. Food trucks will be on-site with street tacos, hamburgers, hot dogs and beverages available to purchase.
The Placer Valley Event Center is located at 700 Event Center Drive in Roseville. The parking lot entrance is located by the new marquee on the corner of Junction Blvd. and Event Center Drive. Come check out the beautiful new event center and catch some great volleyball action.
