Woodcreek High School is excited to announce they will once again be hosting the Northern California High School Swimming Championships at the Roseville Aquatics Complex on April 10-11. This is a Trial/Finals swim meet that will provide the swimmers the opportunity to experience great competition at the high school level. Placer Valley Tourism is thrilled to have partnered with Woodcreek High School again to bring this important swimming event to Placer Valley.
There are 13 high schools slated to participate in this top-notch swimming competition, some as far away as Benicia and Merced. Woodcreek Head Coach, Grant Guensler, expects 350 to 500 swimmers to compete this year and is looking forward to another successful meet where swimmers get the chance to find out what a Trials/Finals swim meet encompasses. On Friday, April 10 the trials will begin at 11 am, however, swimmers will arrive at 9:30 am for warm ups. The top 24 swimmers and top 16 relays will then move on to the finals, which will take place on Saturday, April 11 at 10 am.
This meet qualifies as a USA Swimming Observed Event which means competitors can request to have their times submitted to the USA Swimming Database. It also promises to provide high school swimmers with outstanding competition amongst Northern California teams in a fast pool at a state-of-the-art facility, the Roseville Aquatics Complex, where everywhere is eager to see who comes out on top.
