Series registration is now open for all five 2019 Represent Running Series events. The Bay Area-based run series now includes five hyper-local events that encompass three highly popular multi-race Challenge options. The first event in the Series kicks off on the last day of the professional football season with the San Jose 408k Race to the Row on Sunday, February 3rd. The 8th-annual event not only brings with it a new date, but also welcomes a new title sponsor in Amazon.
Represent Running’s 2019 calendar is followed by the Inaugural San Jose St. Paddy’s Day 5k/10k on March 17th, the Silicon Valley Half Marathon/10k/Food Truck 5k on April 28th, the 36th-annual Across the Bay 12k and 415k on July 14th, and the East Bay 510k 5k/10k in October. San Francisco Bay Area run/walk enthusiasts can choose to participate in their hometown event, or celebrate the entire region by participating in several Challenges that combine multiple events. Runners can choose to earn the Valley Challenge presented by Amazon Medal for competing in the three South Bay events, the Run the Bay Challenge Medal for the three Bay Area-wide events, or go for all five and earn the Represent Running Series Star Award.
“There’s never been a better time to be a runner in the Bay Area,” said JT Service, founder of Represent Running. “Not only are we offering a comprehensive year-round calendar of fun, unique events in 2019, but we’ve expanded the authentic local elements that we’re known best for. From bringing in Amazon as our title sponsor for the 408k to enhance the runner experience, to continuing our partnership with popular local creators like Cukui, San Franpsycho, and Oaklandish, we’ve got more in store for runners than ever before.”
2019 event participants will also have the option of benefiting an eclectic mix of local non-profit organizations, ranging from the Pat Tillman Foundation, Silicon Valley Education Foundation, San Jose – Dublin Sister City Program, Edgewood Center for Children & Families, and Run for a Better Oakland. Registration for Represent Running Series events is now open at www.representrunning.com.
