Athletes of all ages and abilities with big dreams can now register for the 2021 Rocky Mountain State Games, Colorado's largest sports festival, and choose from a tremendous lineup of sports to test their skills for a chance to take home prized medals. This year the Rocky Mountain State Games is bringing back some popular sports such as Cycling, Judo, and Taekwondo, and introducing some new and exciting sports; Artistic Swimming, Drone Soccer, and a Trail Run!
The Rocky Mountain State Games is hosting the first statewide tournament for the growing robotic sport of Drone Soccer. U.S. Drone Soccer launched in Colorado with the first academic program adopted at Coronado High School in Colorado Springs. Presented in partnership with Wings Over The Rockies Air and Space Museum, this educational sport introduces students to aerospace technology with thrilling team competition.
The 20th annual Rocky Mountain State Games will take place primarily over the last two weekends in July (July 16-18 & 23-25) with the majority of competitions in Colorado Springs. Athletes can take advantage of early registration discounts and find all important information on their sport, venue and dates at RockyMountainStateGames.org.
Since its debut in 2002, the RMSG has attracted more than130,000 athletes and 186,000 spectators. More than half of those athletes have come from outside El Paso County supporting The Sports Corp's mission of driving economic development in the region.
