Boulderthon has announced Headsweats as its new merchandise and apparel sponsor ahead of this year’s event, taking place on September 29, 2024.

The partnership will offer a large selection of Boulderthon gear, all made from recycled materials. The merchandise will be available for purchase at Fleet Feet’s Boulder location leading up to race weekend, as well as at the Fleet Feet booth at Boulderthon’s expo taking place on Pearl Street Mall in Downtown Boulder.

Headsweats is a Boulder-based company that specializes in headwear products. Started in 1998, the company has built a profile based on its light, wicking headwear.

“As an athlete myself, I understand the importance of high-quality race gear,” said Phil Dumontet, founder and President of Boulderthon.

“Headsweats is a brand that I’ve always been a fan of due to their quality, and I couldn’t be more thrilled to have them behind the expansion of our Boulderthon merchandise. Not only will the material be elite, but it’s also going to be made from recycled materials, which follows Boulderthon’s goal of creating a greener event.”

Oscar Zuleta, General Manager at Headsweats, said “At Headsweats, we’re thrilled to be rooted in Boulder, a community that embodies the spirit of endurance and adventure. Partnering with Boulderthon, Boulder’s signature marathon, is a perfect match, and we can’t wait to support the incredible athletes who make this event so special.”

Boulderthon offers five distances for participants: the marathon, half marathon, 10K, 5K and Kids Run. Boulderthon’s marathon and half marathon courses will take participants through different landscapes set at the foothills of the Flatirons, with views of the Boulder Reservoir, Table Mountain and Haystack Mountain along their way.

‘The fast, flat course features limited elevation change and multiple straightaways, making for high-quality race day performances.’

The 10K course will run participants through the streets of Boulder showcasing the town, before leading them to Downtown Boulder for the finish on Pearl Street Mall.

The Heart to Heart 5K by BCH will be debuting its brand new course this year, featuring an all-road, fast and flat experience for all participants, allowing for wheelchair athletes and those utilizing wheeled vehicles, such as duo runners, to take part in the event.

In its third annual edition, Boulderthon drew 7,000 runners from all 50 US states as well as 18 countries.
