Future Legends is thrilled to announce a partnership with the Windsor Warriors that will facilitate the creation of the Northern Colorado Lightning Academy.

"This is truly one of the most important partnerships we have signed to date,” Future Legends Executive Director Casey Katofsky said. “Our main goal as a company is to grow youth sports in Northern Colorado and this is a major game changer for youth soccer in this area for many decades to come."

Windsor Warriors is a Colorado Soccer Association non-profit youth Club and it will continue to run and staff the rebranded Lightning Academy. Existing Windsor Warriors members will transition to become a part of Lightning this coming summer.

"The Windsor Warriors Athletic Football Club are proud to enter into this agreement with the Future Legends Complex to become their official youth soccer partner,” Windsor Warriors Executive Director James Walters said. “This partnership will enable both organizations to align around shared values and creatively collaborate as we pursue a common passion and goal of providing children, their families and coaches with opportunities to unite, engage in this wonderful sport and help build lasting relationships within our community."

The elite levels and U20 teams for both Northern Colorado Hailstorm FC (starting in 2024) and Northern Colorado Rain FC (starting in 2025) will be run by Future Legends with the guidance of Hailstorm and Rain Academy Director Kevin Ireland.

“This partnership creates the full pathway from grassroots to professional,” Ireland said. “Boys and girls of all levels will come together under one banner and experience a truly great soccer community. We are excited to see the Lightning, Hailstorm, and Rain all grow together at Future Legends Complex for years to come.”

Lightning Academy practices, tournaments, camps, and events will be hosted at Future Legends Complex, starting with tryouts which will take place in late May.

More information on the Lightning Academy, including the logo and branding as well as details on the elite player platforms and U20 teams, will be released soon.
