Unique Colorado Springs Venue to Serve as Sports Attraction, Pub

And now for something completely different: a climbing gym and brewery.

Do not squint at the screen. You read it right the first time. According to an article in the Colorado Springs Gazette, “a pub in the same space as an indoor climbing gym may not seem like a symbiotic relationship. But the majority owners of CityROCK at 21 N. Nevada Ave. believe the two can co-exist, and they are looking to create an atmosphere that combines indoor climbing with craft beers and wine.”

The owners believe that while some bars may drive away families, theirs will bring them in by offering something for everyone.

The pub, called The Ute and Yeti, is set to open before the end of the year and will also serve cafe fare such as soup, salads and paninis.
