More than 3,000 cheerleaders (ages 5 to 15) and 10 teams of youth football players (age 8 to 14) from all over New England will compete this weekend in Connecticut at the New England Region Championships hosted by Mid CT Youth Football & Cheer Conference
The Connecticut Convention & Sports Bureau reports that Championships will generate over 1,500 room nights at eight hotels in the Greater Hartford and Meriden areas. The estimated economic impact to the state is approximately $1.5 million.

Open to the Public – Admission: $25 for the day (no re-entry fee).

- 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. 8th Grade-Bridgeport Chargers (Colonial, CT) vs. Nashoba Valley Chiefs (Central MA)
