“It’s fantastic to have coaches of this caliber come to Delaware, and even more exciting to have them share their knowledge with local coaches,” said Matt Robinson, chairman of the Delaware Sports Commission, which has worked to bring USA Basketball and the Slam Dunk to the Beach to Delaware. “The Sports Commission is excited to be able to provide this special opportunity to the Delaware basketball community.”
The 7 p.m. exhibition game will be shown on ESPN2, and could feature Delaware’s star player Elena Delle Donne, who is on the Women’s National Team roster and will be part of the intra-squad matchup unless her team is playing in the WNBA Finals. Regardless, the event will bring the nation’s top women’s basketball talent to Delaware.
Tickets to the exhibition game can be purchased through the Bob Carpenter Center box office, by calling 302-831-2257, or online via ticketmaster.com.
