National Training Center Named USA Triathlon Certified Performance Center

USA Triathlon has recently added the National Training Center in Clermont, Fla., as the nation's fifth USA Triathlon Certified Performance Center.

The National Training Center (NTC) met a number of rigorous requirements set forth by USA Triathlon in order to earn the designation of one of the top multisport facilities in the nation. The center is one of only 10 certified performance or training centers in the country.

Opened by South Lake Hospital in 2001, the 37,000 square foot fitness facility features a 75-meter by 25-yard outdoor pool, athletic fields, and a 400-meter track and field complex and cross country course. The NTC also offers outpatient physical therapy, video analysis, bike fits, V02 and lactate testing, and a newly extended performance lab with motion and gait analysis.

USA Triathlon-certified performance facilities offer USA Triathlon members free passes and discounts on select services and testing, merchandise and membership. Elite-level coaching, race programming and testing facilities for endurance athletes of every level are available. Additionally, USA Triathlon Certified Performance and Training Centers offer 20 percent off select services to USA Triathlon members and certified coaches.
