AAU Junior National Volleyball Championships return to OCCC

The Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) is set to host the world’s largest volleyball tournament from June 14 – July 1. More than 70,000 athletes and coaches, representing 48 states, two U.S. territories, and four international countries, will converge at the Orange County Convention Center (OCCC) for the 49^th AAU Girls’ Junior National Volleyball Championships and AAU Boys’ Junior National Volleyball Championships.

WHY:           The 18-day event is expected to bring more than $200 million in economic impact to Central Florida, with an estimated 178,000 attendees. It’s set to be the largest sporting event ever held at the OCCC —breaking last year’s record set by this event.
