Pensacola Sports announces rescheduling of the 2021 Bud Light Fishing Rodeo. Angler and volunteer safety is the top priority for us and with that in mind, the 2021 Bud Light Fishing Rodeo Tournament Committee have made the tough decision to reschedule this year’s tournament. The new dates will be July 23-26 with fishing and scales open on July 24 and 25.
All events – Step One Automotive King Mackerel Challenge, In-Shore Challenge, Bud Light Rodeo, Outcast Tackle and Marine Youth Rodeo, and the Academy Sports + Outdoors Junior Rodeo – will be moved to the new date.
The Bud Light Fishing Rodeo consists of five different events:
- General Rodeo: Anglers will compete to fish for the biggest catch. Over $10,000 in guaranteed prizes will be awarded.
- Academy Sports + Outdoors Junior Rodeo: Young anglers will compete to fish for the biggest catch. The Academy Junior Rodeo is for anglers 11-15 years of age. Youth Rodeo is for anglers 10 years or younger.
- Outcast Tackle and Marine Youth Rodeo: Young anglers will compete to fish for the biggest catch. The Youth Rodeo is for anglers 10 years or younger.
- Inshore Challenge: Teams of anglers will compete to catch the largest combined weight of redfish, speckled trout, and flounder. A cash prize is optional for this challenge.
- Step One Automotive King Mackerel Challenge: Anglers will compete to catch the biggest King Mackerel. A cash prize is optional for this challenge.
Fishing can begin Saturday, July 24 at 12:01 a.m. and will end Sunday, July 25 at 6 p.m. The weigh-in will take place at Founders on Pensacola Beach on Saturday from 2 p.m. – 7 p.m. and on Sunday from 12 p.m. – 6 p.m. Ahead of the fishing weekend, the captains will meet Friday, July 23 at Flounders from 5 – 8 p.m. Late registration will also be available then.
