CLASH Endurance has announced the debut of its Jingle Jog 5K taking place at One Daytona and the World Center of Racing in Florida on Friday, December 3rd at 17:30 ET.
In addition to the 5K, the CLASH Daytona event weekend also includes a kid’s triathlon, professional athlete triathlon, and age-group sprint and middle-distance triathlon and duathlon.
According to the race organiser… ‘What makes this 5K so unique is its route; one that will take families and avid runners alike through the entire dazzling holiday lights experience called the Magic of Lights, the popular drive-through extravaganza at the Daytona International Speedway featuring themed characters, twinkling lights and entertainment.’
Participants will run through a scenic course encompassing more than one million sparkling lights with the latest in LED technology, digital animation and holiday music. Festive, traditional scenes such as the Enchanting Tunnel of Lights, 12 Days of Christmas, 200-ft Candy Cane, Sports Row and Toyland are all ‘guaranteed to mesmerize’ the running community.
“We are excited to host a race that encompasses the iconic Daytona International Speedway property and One Daytona creating a memorable holiday endurance event that families can enjoy together,” said Bill Christy, CEO of CLASH Endurance.
Registration is officially open at www.clash-usa.com with entry fees at US$40. Participant ages begin at six years old and jogging strollers will be permitted. Runners will receive a commemorative t-shirt and finisher’s medal.
To support the event’s philanthropic partner, especially around a time of year with so many children in need, a portion of each Jingle Jog 5K entry will go directly to The NASCAR Foundation.
