FDOA Sponsoring Tandem Wheelchair Race

The Florida Disabled Outdoors Association is celebrating the 25th anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act in a unique way – with a tandem wheelchair race.

Individuals with and without disabilities are being invited to show support for the organization and for individuals with disabilities by being part of a two-person team. Two-person teams of all abilities are invited to race time trial style up College Avenue in Tallahassee prior to the Capital City St. Patrick’s Day Parade.

At least one member of the team must be using a wheelchair. Those who do not typically use a wheelchair can let Florida Disabled Outdoors Association and Ability 1st know; one will be provided.

Organizational T-shirts will be provided to people registering before March 8. The race is limited to 100 two-person teams.
