The Islamorada Women’s Sailfish Tournament celebrates its 40 year anniversary with Ladies, Let’s Go Fishing, their new host for its Jan. 31 – Feb. 2, 2025 event. Ladies Let's Go Fishing is known for its multiple events in Florida for women to learn, practice and go fishing on the water.

The kickoff party on Jan. 31 and awards on Feb. 2 will be held at Safe Harbor Angler House, Islamorada, FL. Women will fish for awards on Feb. 1 and 2, from their own boats or charters, with individual fishing slots available for those who reserve early in advance. A networking event will be held on Saturday, Feb. 1 at Sea La Vie Beach Boutique, Islamorada, FL. Registrations are available online at https://www.ladiesletsgofishing.com/islamorada-womens-sailfish-tournament/

“When the Ladies, Let’s Go Fishing team fished this tournament and tied for first place in 2024 we were excited to hear from Tammie Gurgiolo, manager of this event since 1996, about the opportunity to take over the reins. We said yes!” commented the new director, Betty Bauman. Bauman brings experience from billfish tournaments in the Bahamas and USVI.

Featured on national network television and more, the series is supported by major partners listed on the website, with tournament-specific sponsors including Art by Pasta Pantaleo, Sunset Inn, Safe Harbor Angler House, Sea La Vie Beach Boutique, Bites on the Bay, Whale Harbor Marina and Monroe County Tourist Development Council with others to be announced.

Registration is $295/First Angler, $225/additional anglers on the same boat. Charter boat slots for the two days are $1,150 total. Reservations should be made far in advance for charter fishing slots. The host hotel is Sunset Inn, Islamorada, FL.
