ISSA Ready for 2014 Tournament of Champions

ISSA continues to wrap up 2013 and head into 2014.

MANASSAS, VIRGINIA USA - The month of November was busy for the ISSA Staff this year with representatives in attendance at the TEAMS 13 Conference at Salt Lake City, UT, the ASA National Council Meeting at Oklahoma City, OK and the Connect Sports Executive Forum at San Juan, Puerto Rico. Whether talking to potential host cities for senior tournaments, softball administrators and/or other sports executives, the ISSA likes to use the occasion to promote senior softball and enhance playing opportunities for seniors worldwide. Educating responsible officials about our senior players staying active and ageless their entire life is a mission of the ISSA.

TAMPA, FLORIDA - Plans are well underway for the 3rd Annual ISF/ISSA World Tournament of Champions scheduled for January 24, 25 & 26, 2014 at softball complexes throughout the Tampa Bay Region. The various venues have now been selected for each of the age divisions coming to the WTOC. Players can go to the Venue Page on the ISSA Website and determine where their team will be playing as well as the tournament hotels in the vicinity. A number of qualified teams have expressed their plan to enter the 2014 event but have not submitted their Online Entry Form, so all teams planning on playing should submit their entry form at this time. Teams that have qualified by winning a championship tournament in another association should use the Online ISSA Team Registration (if not already registered) then complete the Online Entry Form.  Information concerning the tournament is included on the Fact Sheet posted for the 2014 WTOC.

ISSA TEAM REGISTRATION - All Masters and Senior teams planning on playing in one or more ISSA tournaments in 2014 should submit a new 2014 Team Registration by the end of the year. There is no charge to register a team with ISSA and players only need a drivers license or other government picture ID to show proof of age and residency. Please assist the ISSA by encouraging all your teammates and others to subscribe to our ISSA "newsletter" emails so more than just the manager gets the "word." The subscription box is on the ISSA Website home page. Players should continue to monitor the posted ISSA 2014 Tournament Schedule. Several discussions are ongoing with potential new tournament destinations and could be added to the list soon.
