
The Palm Beach County Sports Commission is proud to support the return of PGA TOUR Champions golf to The Palm Beaches with the inaugural James Hardie™ Pro Football Hall of Fame Invitational. Taking place March 31 – April 6, 2025, at The Old Course at Broken Sound in Boca Raton, this innovative tournament will feature 26 Pro Football Hall of Famers competing alongside 78 PGA TOUR Champions professionals. The event will be broadcast live on the Golf Channel.
Since 2007, the Palm Beach County Sports Commission has supported PGA TOUR Champions tournaments in The Palm Beaches, bringing world-class events that generate economic impact and enhance the county's reputation as a leading sports tourism destination. Hosting the James Hardie™ Pro Football Hall of Fame Invitational further cements The Palm Beaches' status as one of the best in hosting premier sporting events.
“This tournament is an incredible enhancement to The Palm Beaches' sports landscape, bringing together two of the most iconic sports in the world, football and golf, while showcasing one of the over 145 golf courses that Palm Beach County has to offer," said George Linley, Executive Director of the Palm Beach County Sports Commission. The James Hardie™ Pro Football Hall of Fame Invitational will include some of the NFL’s all-time greatest players. Hall-of-Famers like Anthony Muñoz, Warren Sapp, Rondé Barber, Dwight Freeney, and Calvin Johnson are set to compete alongside with some of the very best senior professionals in the sport such as John Daly, Darren Clarke, Miguel Angel Jimenez, and Jerry Kelly.
The host course, the Old Course at Broken Sound, will provide a picturesque atmosphere for spectators and golfers alike. The recently redesigned course is of exceptional quality and the putting surfaces are often regarded as the best on the PGA TOUR Champions. Spectators can also enjoy the Invitational’s premium hospitality through various clubs, food and beverage options, and prime viewership of the course. The tranquil ambiance of The Old Course at Broken Sound makes it one of The Palm Beaches most intimate and beautiful places to experience golf.
Beyond the action and the esteemed venue, the event will create many benefits for The Palm Beaches, creating economic impact, drawing in spectators, and increasing media exposure. The Invitational is expected to create an estimated economic impact of upwards of $10.6 million and generate approximately 2,500 room nights for the lodging and hospitality community.
