The Junior Roller Derby Association (JRDA) is bringing several events to the Ocean Center Aug. 6 - 10.
More than 800 athletes ages 8 - 18 and about 1,000 spectators will attend the fifth annual Junior Roller Derby Convention – known as JuniorCon. The event will include the inaugural JRDA Championships and tryouts for the Junior Roller Derby World Cup.
According to JRDA President Tanya Procknow, the family-friendly events will bring teams from all over the United States to Daytona Beach.
“Because JRDA involves junior athletes and their families, the Ocean Center in Daytona Beach was a perfect venue,” said Procknow. “Being steps from the beach makes it a perfect family vacation spot.”
