USA Water Ski & Wake Sports is pleased to announce an adaptive Learn to Ski Clinic for veterans and service members with disabilities hosted by the Central Florida Water Ski Show Team, a USA-WSWS member club. The Central Florida Water Ski Show Team will host the clinic from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 3 in Lakeland, Fla. USA Water Ski & Wake Sports’ 2024 Veterans Adaptive Learn To Ski Program has included clinics in California, Florida, Illinois, Massachusetts, North Carolina, South Carolina, Texas, Virginia and Wisconsin.
The goal of the clinics has been to provide veterans and service members with disabilities an opportunity to improve their independence, well-being, and quality of life through adaptive water skiing. Each clinic host is prepared to welcome veterans and individuals with various disabilities, including spinal cord injuries, limb loss, vision impairment, and PTSD for a fun and safe day out on the water.
The Central Florida Water Ski Show Team is excited to bring adaptive water sports to veterans and service members with disabilities. The clinic will be held at Lake Gibson Village, 771 Carpenters Way, Lakeland, FL 33809.
Remaining clinic locations and dates are Edwardsville, Ill., Sept. 7, hosted by Missouri Disabled Water Ski Association; and Oroville, Calif., Sept. 28, hosted by Competitive and Recreational Disabled Skiers.
