Get ready, eSports fans -- the Ocean Center will be hosting the Halo Championship Series, May 12-14, 2017.

 The Halo Championship Series Daytona by UMG is May 12-14 in the Ocean Center arena and includes a $75,000 four vs. four tournament (open and championship bracket) as well as a $5,000 Free for All tournament. The event is open to the public. Spectators can watch the action by purchasing a one-day ticket for $25; a three-day ticket for $50; or a VIP ticket for $150, which includes access to the VIP Lounge, a meet and greet with talent and players, an event T-shirt, UMG gear and more. The Ocean Center sales team has secured significant pieces of business, including many that are booked into coming years, at the convention center in Daytona Beach. These include the following:

  • Hard 2 Kill Athletics will present The Bacon Beatdown Crossfit Competition June 23-25 at the Ocean Center. Registration has already opened for this competition, which features the Bacon Beatdown Food Truck Festival, Craft Beer Festival and competition. The Bacon Beatdown has been held at the Ocean Center since 2014. Last year’s event had more than 4,000 people in attendance. For more information, visit http://thebaconbeatdown.com/.

  • New to the Ocean Center is the Florida State Square and Round Dance Convention planned for Feb. 23-24, 2018. This convention promises to bring fun, fitness and fellowship to its attendees and will includes classes. For more information, visit http://floridasquaredance.com/convention/.

  • The Ocean Center will once again host the Joseph Volleyball Camps – Florida Volleyball Festival Jan. 12-13, 2019. This event will be open to the public.
