The Ocean Center is entering the eSports arena as it hosts for the first time the CEO Fighting Game Championships, which will be June 29 to July 1. This event is open to the public.

One of the largest fighting game competitions in the world, this event was previously held in Orlando where it outgrew the venue. Over the past few years the event has had more than 10,000 attendees from 47 states and 30 countries. This championship will fill the entire Ocean Center and feature an Artist Alley, exhibit and vendor area, the Jebaileyland Arcade with more than 60 games, and more than 14 tournaments and finals in the CEO Ring.

The event has also merged eSports with professional wrestling and will feature a professional wrestling show hosted by wrestling star Kenny Omega Friday, June 29.

The gaming event will be enhanced by the Ocean Center’s recent upgrade from 200MB internet speed to 1GB. This extra bandwidth will allow for more devices to connect at maximum speed, making for a much smoother experience at large meetings and conventions. This new technology will allow faster uploads and downloads for everything from registration check-in, stage technology, presenters and even for event attendee's devices.
