T 2022 Sunshine State Games, presented by Amazon features 24 sports, with multi-sport Festivals held in four Florida communities and 14 sports facilities statewide hosting the events.
Now in its 43rd year of providing amateur sports opportunities to Florida athletes of all ages, the Sunshine State Games has been used as a stepping stone to national and international competitions by many Florida athletes.
The traditional summer calendar of summer sports events picks up in May with Artistic Roller Skating, in Orlando, and Figure Skating in Broward County.

The four Sunshine State Games Festival locations include Alachua County, with five sports, Broward County, with three sports, Clay County with five sports and Polk County, with five sports. Hillsborough, Miami-Dade, Orange and Pinellas counties will also hold individual sport championships.
Many of the sports have Olympic Games ties, such as Archery, Artistic Swimming, Basketball, Fencing, Figure Skating, Judo, Rowing, Swimming, Track and Field and Volleyball, The Sunshine State Games also offers popular sports among athletes including Disc Golf, Pickleball, Baton Twirling, Bowling and Golf.
The Annual Sunshine State Games, presented by Amazon, is a program of the Florida Sports Foundation, the official sports promotion and development organization of the State Florida. The four Festival Events are presented in conjunction with Visit Lauderdale, the Gainesville Sports Commission, Central Florida's Polk County Sports Marketing and Clay County Tourism.
