The 2024 Florida Senior Games have officially kicked off, bringing athletes from across the state to compete in over 20 sports and celebrate the spirit of senior athletics in Florida’s Sports Coast. One of the standout highlights of this year’s Games will be the highly-anticipated “Saturday Spectacular,” set to take place on Saturday, Dec. 7, 2024, from Noon to 5:00 p.m. at the Wiregrass Ranch Sports Campus in Wesley Chapel.
The “Saturday Spectacular” promises an unforgettable day for participants, families, and the local community in Pasco County, FL. Featuring a variety of food trucks, exhibitors, and interactive athlete activities, there’s something for everyone to enjoy. The family-friendly event will also feature live entertainment from Rhythm Express, a high-energy funky show band, and a special appearance by Thunderbug, the Tampa Bay Lightning mascot. This exciting event also includes the 2024 Florida Senior Games Athletes of the Year awards ceremony, where outstanding athletes will be recognized for their dedication and achievements.
