The seventh-annual ICAST Cup presented by Major League Fishing (MLF) and Keep America Fishing™ is a bass-fishing tournament, held July 20, 2021, and offers a four-hour bass-fishing shootout on Lake Toho with 100% of the proceeds benefiting the industry’s angler advocacy program, Keep America Fishing.
New this year, USA Bass has joined to partner with MLF and Keep America Fishing and award the top women’s pair a spot on the 2022 USA Pan American Bass fishing team. The highest-finishing team of two female anglers will earn a spot on Team USA Bass at the 2022 Pan American Bass Fishing Championship, alongside Jacob Wheeler, John Cox, Mark Daniels Jr., Dustin Connell, Brian Latimer, Scott Martin and other top pros.
“We are going to be announcing the location for the 2022 Pan Am (Championship) very soon,” said USA Bass President Tony Forte. “Let’s just say it is an iconic bass fishing community, and we expect our Pan American nations to jump at the chance to fish it. We will have our strongest USA Bass Team ever and look forward to qualifying our Women’s pair at the ICAST Cup.”
The entry fee is $200 per company team. Each team is paired with a media representative – who fish for FREE – with the winners taking home the coveted ICAST Cup traveling trophy. More than $50,000 has been raised for Keep America Fishing since the event’s inception in 2015.
Some of the biggest names in professional bass fishing compete in the event, including numerous MLF Bass Pro Tour, Tackle Warehouse Pro Circuit and Bassmaster Elite Series anglers. Previous participants include legendary anglers like Bill Dance, and Peter Thliveros, and current Major League Fishing pros like John Cox, Jason Lambert, Dave Lefebre, Justin Lucas, Mark Rose, Fred Roumbanis and Wesley Strader.
