South Florida Collegiate Baseball All-Star Game Coming to FAU Stadium This Weekend

The annual 2019 South Florida Collegiate Baseball League All-Star Game will be held this Sunday July 14th at the Florida Atlantic University baseball stadium at 2PM. 

The 2019 All-Star Game will host 36 Division I, 11 Division II, 3 Division III, 22 Junior College, 3 NAIA & 3 players previously drafted by MLB teams.  The players will also represent 12 U.S. States and 5 countries. Just in the last 6 years of play 149 South Florida Collegiate Baseball League players have been drafted by MLB teams meaning that some of the best amateur players in the country are coming to Palm Beach County for their summer collegiate home. 

“It’s great to know that we have such a large national and international reach for recruiting players”, said League President Vince Farfaglia. “Some of the best amateur players in the country are coming to this league and Palm Beach County for the entire summer to sharpen their skills and it’s an honor to host them.”

Batting practice for both divisions starts at 11:30AM Sunday morning and the first pitch is at 2PM. 

About the South Florida Collegiate Baseball LeagueThe 10 team South Florida Collegiate Baseball League is a wood bat summer collegiate baseball league based in the heart of South Florida which gives amateur players an opportunity to showcase themselves in hopes of reaching the professional ranks. Players have an opportunity to develop their skills at a high level of play and be evaluated by scouts. Teams play a 40-game regular season schedule with games beginning in June and ending in the last week in July. All games are 9 innings, with most doubleheaders scheduled on the weekends. The All-Star game is played in mid July, and the League Championship Series concludes in the first week of August.
