For the second consecutive year, U.S. Paralympics Swimming will host the U.S. Paralympics Swimming National Championships, presented by Toyota, at the Rosen Aquatic & Fitness Center (RAFC) in Orlando, Florida. The competition is set to run from Dec. 13-15, 2024 and will be the second time U.S. Paralympics Swimming has hosted an event in Orlando, Florida, following the 2023 edition of the event.
“We are excited and honored to once again be hosting the U.S. Paralympics Swimming National Championships this year,” said Mike Miller, Executive Director of the Rosen Aquatic & Fitness Center. “When the RAFC opened, it was with the vision of creating an environment perfect for events like these. This competition not only showcases our dedication to inclusivity and excellence but also fulfills our mission of providing a supportive and empowering space for all athletes.”
"On behalf of our board Chairman Sharon Line Clary and our partners at Orange County, Visit Orlando, and Rosen Aquatic & Fitness Center, we are thrilled to welcome back the U.S. Paralympics Swimming National Championships to Orlando,” said Jason Siegel, President & CEO of the Greater Orlando Sports Commission. “We have a proud and longstanding history of collaborating with the U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Committee to host world-class events that celebrate athletic excellence and inspire our community. As we look ahead to the LA 2028 Olympics, we’re excited to continue strengthening our partnership and showcasing Orlando as a premier destination for Olympic and Paralympic events."
The Rosen Aquatic & Fitness Center is one of the fastest competition pools in the nation and one of the largest competitive facilities in the southeast. The state-of-the-art indoor aquatics facility features an indoor 8-lane 50-meter competition pool, a dive well with four lap lanes, a heated teaching and training pool with seven lanes, along with ample spectator seating. With close proximity to hotels, restaurants and world-class theme park attractions, the RAFC offers a fantastic venue for athletes competing at nationals.
With Toyota as its presenting partner once again, the 2024 U.S. Paralympics Swimming National Championships will be an exciting opportunity to watch many of the nation's top Para swimmers compete for prestigious national titles following a successful Paris 2024 Paralympic Games at which the team brought home 30 medals in the pool. This event, which is open to the public and free to attend, will be a great opportunity to watch veteran athletes compete while also showcasing new names to the Para swimming community. The 2024 U.S. Paralympic Swimming National Championships will mark the final competition of the 2024 season for the U.S. Paralympic Swimming team.
