USA Rugby Southern Conference Championship Coming to Columbia County

The team list and schedule for this weekend’s USA Rugby Southern Conference Championship has been released by the Augusta Rugby Club. The tournament will take place at Blanchard Woods Park in Evans.
 
The women’s tournament will include Fort Miami Women’s Club out of South Florida; the Nashville Stone Lions Women’s Rugby Club; the Augusta Furies, the only local team in the overall tournament; and the Atlanta Harlequins.
 
Men’s Division II and III play will include the following teams: Clinch River Crusaders out of Richlands, Virginia; Gainesville Hogs from Gainesville, Florida; the Charlotte Rugby Club; Chattanooga Rugby; the Atlanta Old White Rugby Football Club; Orlando Griffins Rugby FC; Cape Fear Rugby Club; and Savannah Shamrocks Rugby Club.
 
Tournament play will open Saturday, May 16, on the upper fields at Blanchard Woods Park. Here is the schedule:

Championship games will take place the stadium field of Blanchard Woods Park on Sunday, May 17.

Consolation Rounds will take place on Field 2 on the Upper Level
