Six-time IRONMAN World Champion and Hall of Fame inductee Dave Scott is hosting a series of Triathlon Training Experiences, created exclusively in Kona, Hawaii.
The Dave Scott Triathlon Training Experience is a series of in-depth, hands-on training clinics created and led by Dave Scott. Upcoming clinics take place on May 6–10, June 17–21 and July 29, 2019 in Kona.
Each experience includes interactive discussions and hands-on 24/7 instruction from Dave around swim/bike/run, assessing imbalances, strength & flexibility and proper nutrition/fuelling/meal planning. The final day includes an open water swim in Kailua Bay, site of the official IRONMAN World Championships start, followed by a ride over some of the IRONMAN course.
The personalized training experience includes:
- Video analysis;
- Pre-camp phone consultation and customized post-camp training prescription;
- Intimate group meals; and
- A welcome gift of triathlon apparel, shoes, and gear selected by Dave Scott.
“I am thrilled to bring this triathlon training experience back to Hualalai for the fourth year,” said Dave Scott. “Every attendee will learn my methods for training more deliberately and more efficiently, and will leave with the confidence of knowing how to train fewer hours to become better and faster triathletes.
“It’s been a mission of mine to provide breakthrough ways to best maintain a physically fit lifestyle and share my self-proven techniques with others and help them reach their personal goals.”
The island of Hawaii has been home to the IRONMAN World Championships since 1978 and provides a backdrop for the training experiences. Dave Scott is the first man to win six IRONMAN World Championship titles and the first ever inductee into the IRONMAN Hall of Fame.
He has devoted his life to developing training methods and techniques to improve endurance athlete performance. Dave has established himself as one of the world’s leading experts on sports performance and a teacher of biomechanics, strength training, mobility and especially nutrition.
The methods and techniques taught by Dave at his Kona camps mirror those which he has shared with professional athletes, age groupers and aspiring triathletes around the globe. ‘Dave guarantees that his coaching will produce faster times and better race results for all levels of athletes.’
Dave Scott started his impressive winning streak only two years after the first ever IRONMAN contest launched in 1978. Dave’s victories and battles with Mark Allen are highlights in the history of the sport. Dave held the world record for an iron-distance event with a time of 8:01.59 set in Japan in 1989.
He also held the course record for IRONMAN Hawaii from 1980 to February 1982, and again from October 1982 to 1989. Now working as a triathlon coach, fitness consultant, motivational speaker and commentator, Dave Scott utilizes his years of experience by offering a range of unique and creative training plans.
The five-day camp costs US$2,000, plus the cost of accommodation, personal meals, spa treatments, etc. To book a spot, individuals should contact the Four Seasons Resort Hualalai.
