Get ready for some football! The Chicago Football Classic (CFC) returns to Soldier Field for a matchup between the Central State Marauders and Mississippi Valley State Delta Devils on Memorial Day Weekend. This year’s CFC marks the return of the game after a three-year hiatus and its 25th anniversary. Three key Chicagoans who helped start the game back in 1997 will be honored as part of the anniversary: former President of the Chicago Board of Education Michael Scott, former Mayor of Chicago Richard M. Daley and President of the Cook County Board of Commissioners Toni Preckwinkle.
Most importantly, over $300,000 in scholarships have been committed to 20 students across Chicagoland attending Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs). The CFC truly is more than just a game.
Tickets for this year’s Chicago Football Classic are on sale now!
