The Chicago Sports Commission has announced a full calendar of activities through the first part of the summer.
One of the highlights is when the International Champions Cup (ICC) will land in Chicago with a match between AS Roma and Chivas de Guadalajara at SeatGeek STADIUM on July 16. The ICC brings together the greatest international clubs to play in cities around the world, showcasing era-defining players and the game’s most intriguing prospects. May 4: Indoor Triathlon at FFC: Ever Thought About Doing a Triathlon? Sign Up for the LAST Indoor Tri Events at FFC. Swim, bike, run, fun! May 18: 24th Annual Bears Care Gala @ Soldier Field – this event will feature Orange Carpet player arrivals, a cocktail receptions, live and silent auctions, seated dinner and dancing to the music of Ken Arlen Evolution Orchestra. Current and alumni players, including Hall of Famer Brian Urlacher, Head Coach Matt Nagy and front office executives are scheduled to attend. Jeff Joniak, Voice of the Bears on WBBM Newsradio 780 & 105.9 FM, will emcee the Gala. Through the annual Gala, Bears Care has been able to award over $15 million in grants to Chicago-area research efforts focused on finding a cure for breast and ovarian cancer and improving treatment options for those currently battling these diseases.
