After assessing all event scenarios, IRONMAN has shared a new date for the 2020 Certified Piedmontese IRONMAN 70.3 North American Championship Des Moines – which is now scheduled to take place on October 4, 2020.
All registered athletes of the 2020 IM 70.3 North American Championship Des Moines triathlon will be receiving an email with further information. IRONMAN adds that it ‘looks forward to providing athletes with an exceptional race experience in the future.’
Last June, IRONMAN selected Des Moines, Iowa, as a new multi-year host venue, beginning with Des Moines hosting the 2020 IRONMAN 70.3 North American Championship. Certified Piedmontese Beef serves as the title partner for the new triathlon that was originally scheduled to take place on June 21, 2020.
In other news, IRONMAN has confirmed the cancellation of IRONMAN 70.3 Steelhead. After assessing all event scenarios, the IRONMAN 70.3 Steelhead triathlon, originally scheduled for June 28, cannot take place in 2020 and will return on June 27, 2021. All registered athletes will be receiving an email with further information.
