The Rockford Area Convention & Visitors Bureau (RACVB) Dasher Dash 5K will begin at 12 noon, on the day of Stroll on State, presented by Illinois Bank & Trust, on Saturday, November 26, 2022.
The holiday-themed Run/Walk in beautiful downtown Rockford IL will start and finish near Beattie Park (near 100 Park Avenue, Rockford IL) and will run across the beautiful Rock River and down East State Street -- all decorated for the season. The Dasher Dash 5K is part of the festivities of Stroll on State www.strollonstate.com which includes the race, Stroll on State parade, live music, tree lighting, and other events.
Post-Race Party: Runners and spectators are welcome to join us outside of Memorial Hall for post-race fun! There will be a medals ceremony, prizes and more! There will also be s’mores, hot chocolate and a bar available for purchases. You will have time to enjoy the after-party before picking the perfect spot to view the parade.
Registration is now open! Race is $40 for adults and $25 for kids 12 and under. The entry fee includes an online processing fee and race swag, including a race shirt. Registration closes Thursday, November 23 at 11:59 p.m. There will be no race day registration. Packet pickup will be held at Fleet Feet prior to the race. While downtown, racers and spectators are encouraged to stop into a few retail shops to celebrate Small Business Saturday and then stay in the area for the kickoff of Stroll on State.
