Rockford Region to Host USSSA Women’s Fast Pitch World Series

Opening ceremonies are set to kick off the United States Specialty Sports Association (USSSA) 2013 Girl’s and Women’s Fast Pitch World Series softball event. Ceremonies will be held Wednesday, July 24 at 6:30 p.m. at the Indoor Sports Center in Loves Park.

The tournaments will take place in the Rockford, IL, Region July 23-28. This is the first year the region has hosted the 12U “Class B” Fast Pitch World Series, the second year for the 18U “B” World Series, and the sixth consecutive year for the Women’s World Series. The games will be played at Sportscore One and Harlem Sports Complex.

The three events will draw 70 teams and more than 1,000 athletes, coaches and fans to the area. Go to www.usssa.com for a complete play schedule and more information.
