The Rockford Area Convention & Visitors Bureau (RACVB) is pleased to welcome Jacqui Corsi as its new Vice President of Marketing. Corsi will oversee the development and implementation of all RACVB marketing, communications and community relations programs. She will serve on RACVB’s senior leadership team.
Corsi earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin – Madison in Journalism and worked as a reporter for the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel for over a decade. She received her master’s degree in Education from Carroll University and was recently re-certified through the American Marketing Association as Professional Certified Marketer. She most recently worked for Thelma Sadoff Center for the Arts in Fond du Lac, WI for nine years as director of marketing and then as executive director.
Her prior marketing experience includes director of marketing and attraction for the Fond du Lac County Economic Development Corporation and marketing coordinator for Washington County Fair Park. Corsi is from Fond du Lac, Wisconsin and most recently lived near West Bend, WI for over 20 years.
“On behalf of the bureau I’d like to welcome Jacqui to our team and her family to the Rockford area. She has the marketing chops, leadership skills and critical thinking ability to further position our community as a destination, not only for people to visit and residents to call home, but also for businesses to invest in and flourish,” said John Groh, RACVB president/CEO. I look forward to all she will accomplish in her role and in our community.”
RACVB’s Marketing and Communications team is responsible for planning, executing and measuring brand management, group sales, leisure marketing and community and stakeholder relation activities. Corsi will collaborate, research, develop and lead new projects and programs that enhance the region’s reputation and brand.
“I’m so thrilled to be joining this great team at RACVB and cannot wait to explore more of the Rockford region so I can help promote and encourage tourism. I have made a list of places to see, in no particular order, and they include the gardens, trails, art, museums, live music, cultural performances, the markets, sporting events and anything along our four rivers. "I’m already looking forward to Stroll on State, too,” said Corsi.
Corsi adds, “There is so much to do and see here. This is a great community and destination; one I look forward to being part of and being able to market and promote. My husband and I look forward to relocating to Rockford with Smooch, our Newfoundland, and two cats, Eddie and Stella.”
