Imagine hosting your event at the historic Illinois State Fairgrounds, a 366-acre site with a wide variety of options. The Expo building alone offers more than 60,000 square feet of space. For motorsports, the fastest dirt mile track is located on the fairgrounds and hosts the annual Springfield Mile as well as ARCA and other stock car racing. The Land of Lincoln Junior Olympic Softball complex, better known as LOLJOS, is a youth sports complex consisting of seven lighted softball diamonds and one non-lit field. Centrally located concession stand with press box, restrooms, and umpires’ lounge round out the facility. Their next door neighbors, the Springfield Area Soccer Association offer both recreation and competitive play, serving 1,700+ kids. The complex includes flexible space that can be used for 10 full size fields & 6 smaller fields. The main field is lighted, full concessions and restroom facilities adorn the main gate. Ample parking and a central location make these facilities a favorite with tournament directors.
Just a bit down the road you will find Spartan Park. They have you covered with the facility sporting six diamonds, four lighted, turf Infields, full concessions, air-conditioned game room for players and an umpires’ lounge. Fields allow for tournament play for baseball (14U and younger), fast pitch softball and adult slow pitch. Spartan continues to foster relationships with national organizations such as Game Day, NSA and USSSA.
