US Club Soccer – a prominent member of the U.S. Soccer Federation and the leading organization developing soccer clubs across America – today outlines structure for the 16th edition of the National Cup Regionals.
The National Cup includes various state cups, which begin in the spring, before progressing to the National Cup XVI Regionals – held in five locations throughout the country. Ultimately, qualifying teams then compete for national titles at the National Cup XVI Finals, to be held July 21-24 at Grand Park in Westfield, Ind.
Regionals are open to all US Club Soccer member teams in 12-U through 18/19-U boys and girls age groups (birth years: 2005s, 2004s, 2003s, 2002s, 2001s, 2000s and combined 1998/99s). Winning 13-U through 18/19-U boys and girls teams (birth years: 2004s, 2003s, 2002s, 2001s, 2000s, 1998/99s) from Regionals and qualifying state cups advance to the National Cup XVI Finals.
The National Cup XVI will continue to have Super Group (most competitive) and Premier Group brackets. During the National Cup XV, nearly 900 teams competed over the course of Regionals and the Finals.

National Cup XVI Finals: While the dates and location of the National Cup XVI Finals was announced a few weeks ago, the impressive facility of Grand Park in Westfield, Ind. should not be understated. The 2017 NPL Finals – the league-based national championship event for all National Premier Leagues clubs – will take place a week before the National Cup XVI Finals. Then, participating National Cup XVI Finals teams get their shot at the record books, marking the second time in three years that Grand Park will have hosted both national championships.
